LAZONA was founded in 2003 as a production company dedicated to audiovisual and performing arts, bringing together film, television series and theatre. In 2023, it expanded its scope with the creation of a new film distribution line under LAZONA Pictures, as well as a production company based in the Basque Country, LAZONA Zinema.

Since then, LAZONA has produced around thirty feature films, including Sin cobertura, No habrá paz para los malvados, Ocho apellidos vascos and La consagración de la primavera, as well as several series such as Gigantes and La noche más larga. Its theatrical activity includes more than seventy stage productions, among them La mujer rota, La vida es sueño and La ternura, alongside a growing catalogue of distributed feature films such as Cuando cae el otoño, La voz de Hind and Locamente.

Throughout its trajectory, LAZONA has successfully combined box-office successes with critical acclaim and awards.
